Debra Smith

Debra holds a BA in English with a minor in Education from Texas A&M Commerce along with an AA in Music from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Professionally, Debra has worked as a reporter for the East Texas Tribune, a children's book reviewer for Examiner.com, and an independent book reviewer with reviews listed on Amazon.com and Goodreads. Her puppet scripts have been performed by Hands of Love, a local puppet troupe through her church.

On a personal note:

Debra is a mom of two wonderful children. She is married to a wonderful man and lives in a small house in the woods of North Central/East Texas with a lake on  one side and a river on the other.   If you visit  her at home you would also meet a cat named Calamity  and several fish, whose names are known in fish language only and un-writable in English.  Home is sanctuary. She loves to read, write, and work with people, especially children. These interests carry over into volunteer community service work with her church, neighborhood, and puppetry. Debra’s motto is ‘Life is an adventure that will never be lived again. Leave the path better than you found it, help those you meet along the way, trust the One who laid the road before you, learn as much as you can, and enjoy the diversity of it all.’
